The Calendar World Burlb, boring but factual!

The history of our calendars dates back to 1963 when the original Nordic Series red and black clear figure and engagement calendars first rolled off the printing press.

Originally Nordic Press only produced the well-known No:108 bold figure calendar and the N:128 engagement calendar.

The product codes given relate to their sizes i.e. 10x8 & 12x8.

Over the years the Nordic series product range has increased to 4 styles, which now include the No:138 a slim line calendar and the No: 125 A3 engagement calendar to compliment the original engagement and clear figure calendars.

In 1964 the calendar tabs and inserts were soon introduced. These are smaller calendars designed for arts and crafts and schools particularly pre-schools and nurseries.   In the initial production the calendars were glued into pads by hand but within a few years with technological advances they soon became machine sewn creating a stronger and more robust product.

Within our collection of calendar tabs available to buy online, we have both pads with covers and without covers we call insets.

This product range has grown and we now produce well over 1,000,000 calendars every year.

In 2010 a Welsh calendar tab was launched only available without covers.

New for 2019 we will be offering a personalisation service allowing re-sellers and trade to have their own brand printed on the back cover which will include a logo and website, Schools will also have the opportunity to have their school logo printed.

Our calendars have grown in greatly in popularity over the years, we believe this is because they have been designed to be user friendly are very kind on your pocket and as our customers say it’s great that they are produced in the United Kingdom and not China!
